Posted by: Hope Clinic / Yolanda Cristiani from: Bayboro, NC Phone: 252-745-5760
Wanted: Hope Clinic needs Volunteer MDs, NPs, PAs, and Pharmacists

Hope Clinic needs volunteer MDs, NPs, PAs, and Pharmacists on Thursday evenings.

Hope Clinic is doing all we can to see patients but we are struggling with the ability to obtain volunteer providers and pharmacists. A lot of medical practices are under the same stressors we are with COVID-19, and this has caused some of our providers normally volunteering with us unable to see patients here. We have patients that desperately need to be seen.

In recent years, we have made schedule and system changes that better serve our volunteers and patients.

• All patients are seen by appointment only, beginning at 4:30-5pm and last appointments are scheduled no later than 7:00pm.
• Providers (MDs, NPs, & PAs) normally begin around 5pm (or later if their schedule needs) and are usually finished around 8:00-8:30pm.
• Pharmacists are needed starting around 5pm (or later if their schedule needs) and are usually finished with prescription dispensing at 8:30-9:00pm.
• No HMOs, PPOs, or prior authorizations to deal with… tests or referrals felt necessary by the provider are easily obtained.
• No electronic medical records
• No controlled medications
• Many outside referrals for speciality needs are available, including cardiac, neurology, endocrinology, behavioral health, counseling services, etc.
• Food/dinner is provided by volunteers
• We have new COVID-19 related protocols in place for the safety of our staff, volunteers, and patients.

Do you know a licensed provider or pharmacist who can help? Once a week, once a month, once a quarter….whatever volunteers can do is helpful and appreciated. I can be reached by email at yolanda@hopeclinic.net or at 252-745-5760.
