The Pamlico Musical Society brings classical pianist Alina Kiryayeva to the Old Theater in Oriental, on December 2 and 3. A native of Ukraine and graduate of the Juilliard School of Music, Kiryayeva will present two different programs. Her Friday night concert, Moving Pictures, will feature works by Liszt, Chopin, and Beethoven from well-known movies and cartoons. On Saturday, December 3 Kiryayeva will present music of Beethoven, Chopin and Prokofiev from her debut solo piano album Sonata. Both concerts begin at 7:30p.

Kiryayeva also will conduct an Informance, free and open to the public, on Saturday, December 3 at 1:30p at the Oriental United Methodist Church sanctuary, with a reception to follow in the church fellowship hall.
