Want to do a century ride? The grassroots bike ride, the 3rd Annual Chuck Fondeaux is happening on Sunday, November 29, 2015. Starting at The Bean at 8:30a it rolls through 106 miles of Pamlico County to celebrate local cyclist (and NC Waterski Fall of Famer) Chuck Forrest’s 60th birthday.

Pamlico County is, of course, mostly flatland but the route takes the Hobucken Bridge as well as the Oriental Bridge twice. The ride ends at the peak of the Oriental Bridge. Gathering afterward at Water Street Grill – starting circa 1:30. And while the serious cyclists will be trying to make good time on sprints and complete the full 100+ miles of this ‘century’ ride, you’re welcome to join for a ‘decade’ or even a ‘year’ if that’s what you can manage that day.
