The Friends of the Pamlico Library holds its annual meeting on Thursday June 1 at 7p at the Library. On the agenda is a discussion about The Future of the Library with Paul Delamar III, Chair of the County Commissioners and John Prescott, Chair of the Pamlico Board of Education offering presentations of their perspectives.

Plans for the new children’s section of the public library will also be on display. The need for that arose this spring after the public library was ordered to relinquish the room that had housed its children’s section so that it could be converted to a media lab for high school students only The incident renewed questions about the ongoing arrangement of the public library sharing space with the high school.
