Classical guitarists Mary Ackerman and Bob Teixiera offer a free guitar workshop on Wednesday July 18 at 2p at the Pamlico Library. The duo will present a concert at the Library at 7p on Thursday July 19. Using popular songs as examples, the workshop will cover basic music theory and how music functions through scale construction and more. The workshop is open to guitar players of all levels as well as music lovers in general. Bring your guitars. A reception will follow the workshop. The Ackerman-Teixeira Duo’s latest CD is “Music for Two Guitars”. The workshop and performance are free and sponsored by the Pamlico County Arts Council. Donations would be accepted..
