Jazz vocalist Kathy Kosins comes to Oriental’s Old Theater on Saturday January 14 at 7:30p.
She’s been compared to both Sarah Vaughn and Peggy Lee while at the same time touted for her fresh and imaginative interpretations.
Her Pamlico Musical Society concert is being billed as “Live By Request” — since the audience will have a chance to choose songs from an wide range of jazz standards. This the first of three “All That Jazz” concerts with jazz stylists presented by the PaMuSo this winter. (The other two are Nnenna Freelon on January 27 and, on February 25, Stephanie Nakasian.)
