September brings (at least the hope of) cooler weather, colorful leaves and bird migration. Many of the birds that arrived in the spring will be leaving to spend their winter in the tropics. But which ones are they? Liz Lathrop’s Fall Birding Class at Pamlico Community College will help you identify the many new arrivals and birds in migration in Pamlico County and on the coast.

The Fall Birding Class starts on Tuesday, September 13, at 9a in the Johnson Bldg at PCC for registration and a slide show on birds that may be seen, as well as info on binoculars. Subsequent classes will be field trips on Sept. 20, 27 and Oct. 4. Class is limited to 12, fee $30.
