A call-out for photos from Oriental’s History Museum for its upcoming art exhibit, “Oriental’s Forgotten Landmarks.” The museum is looking for photos and drawings of places in and near Oriental. Whether you’re a local artist or photographer – amateur and professional, the point here is to take photos or create drawings of your favorite landmarks and familiar sights: old barns, boats & boathouses, graveyards, bridges, houses, stores, gas stations. Then, get the the physical photo to the museum by mid-January to be part of this exhibit.

Noted landscape photographer, author, and cartoonist, Tony Craig, is offering a $50 prize for the “Best of Show” entry. The exhibit will open with a reception on Sunday, February 5, 2017 and run through May. For more information contact the museum at orientalhistorymuseum@gmail.com or 252-249-1870.
