Coming Events in Oriental and in and near Pamlico County

  • Pappy Khouri is The Village Gallery’s current guest artist. Works by the impressionist oil painter will be on display in a special exhibit that has been extended through January 2018.

He started painting just 5 years ago and now, Pappy Khouri rarely goes a week without a brush in his hand. (“A hobby that has blossomed into a passion,” he calls it. Over time, he has developed a loose impressionist style. Look for it in scenes from around the county – both on and off the water — that make up his December show, Pamlico Horizons. More on the show, here.

The Village Gallery is a cooperative fine art gallery of more than 30 member and consigned artists. Located at 300 Hodges Street – on Oriental’s harbor – the Gallery is open from 10a until 5pa Wednesdays through Sundays. For more information, visit the Gallery website at villagegallerync.com.
