SKYWARN Class May 26, 2018The Pamlico Amateur Radio Society (Ham Radio Club) hosts a National Weather Service SKYWARN class Saturday May 26, 2018 10:30a – Noon in the back meeting room at Brantley’s Village Restaurant. The class is instructed by Erik Heden, Warning Coordination Meteorologist at the NWS Office in Newport NC. The class is free.
Basic SKYWARN teaches you about severe weather hazards and preparedness along with how to report severe weather to the National Weather Service. Topics include severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, hail, lightning, flooding, squall lines, bow echoes, derochoes and supercells.
