The Village Gallery is featuring oil paintings by Susan Dahlin during the month of March. In a technique favored by her Norwegian father, Dahlin uses knives for a lot of her painting. (And in further tribute, as she finishes each work, she applies a touch of color from his old paint tubes.)

Dahlin, who was a TV host at WRAL-TV for years, now paints, and is the Village Gallery’s Guest Artist for March. The newly expanded gallery also features the work of many other artists, as well as a “Miniature Gallery.” The Village Gallery on Hodges across from the harbor is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10-5.
