April 15th is just a month away. Need help prepping your Federal and NC taxes? VITA, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, is offering free tax preparation and electronic filing in Pamlico County. Thru April 12, 2017, volunteers are on hand every Wednesday from 9a-3p at the Pamlico County Senior Center, in Alliance. Sponsored by the IRS, VITA is a service for elderly residents as well as those with low to moderate incomes.
