Rip-rap
lines the front of the yard near Vandemere and South Avenue
in Oriental. The force of hurricane Isabel sent some of
those boulders on to the lawn.

Isabel was too much for Grace Evans dock
near the Wildlife Ramp.
|
|
Damage was also reported at the Oriental Yacht Club. Visible
is the ramp that fell away from the building. Extensive
damage was reported inside.

Russ and Diane Stewart of The Bean show the level Isabel
reached (top of yellow measure) vs Hurricane Dennis (bottom
of measuring tape). The Bean is closed for about two weeks
for repairs.
