Letters: Ferry Tolls and Toll Booths
Leaving The Light On...
May 2, 2013

Dear Towndock:

The toll booths are up, complete with taxpayer-funded electricity and lights left shining bright in the daytime. Let’s see, that’s 20 days times 24 hours. You would think they would be a little more conservative if things are so tight we must have tolls.

Where’s our legislator and the bill to stop the tolls? Not many lights shining bright there. Maybe he can get the lights turned off in the daytime if he can’t stop the tolls.

Very disappointed in our ferry mgt and our legislator.

The writer has used the ferry between Minnesott and Cherry Branchto commute to Morehead City four times a week for the past 15 years.
