Letters: Thanks For The Croakerfest
Salute To A Volunteer
July 8, 2013

To the Editor:

We would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You!” for all involved with Croakerfest. From Parade Master, Paul Fairbank, to the keen eyes of the parade judges, to talented photography of Melinda Penkava, and to the well organized events at the festival, we have truly enjoyed this event over the years.

Our children, Emery, Owen and Oliver, continually reference the fun they shared; most especially the Croakerfest parade and the kids park games.

Each year, Jeff Aydelette does a fabulous job entertaining, motivating and challenging children of all ages. Jeff is the best emcee, from Twister and Limbo to Tug-of-war and water balloon tossing. He learns children’s names, makes them feel important and most of all, provides moments they will remember long after the heat of summer days have faded. There are many fun things to do at Croakerfest, but we are certain that Jeff has turned this event into an annual summer highlight for our family. Thanks Jeff!

To the Editor:

I would like to thank Candy Bohmert for all of her efforts in organizing another successful Croakerfest.

I have had the pleasure of assisting her over the past few months and can attest to the time and effort she has given to make this event that we have come to expect as Oriental’s way to celebrate the Fourth of July so much fun.

The town of Oriental owes Candy a hearty “Thank You” for her dedication, unlimited energy and amazing determination.

Thanks, Candy.

Best regards,
