1p – Spirit of Christmas Parade – This year’s theme: ‘Merry Dinghy Christmas’ How many dinghies will there be? Count ‘em as the parade sets off from Ragan, down Broad, to Hodges, then Wall, South Avenue and on to Lou Mac Park.

2-5p Village Gallery Refreshments and music from the Pamlico Flutes at the opening reception for the Gallery’s December guest artist, Pappy Khouri. The Gallery is at 300 Hodges, across from the harbor.

Friday Night Lights

5-5:30p – Town Dock – Caroling and Lighting of the Oriental Star Members of the Pamlico High School Choir will lead the way and keep things in key.

5-ish – Harbor – Lighted Kayak Parade A parade of wee boats, lighted up. Look to the WSW sky for the twinkling glows, close to the water, as the kayakers, canoeists, and paddleboarders enterthe harbor after paddling over from the Wildlife Ramp circa 5p.

5-ish – Inner and Outer Harbor – Christmas Flotilla This is the procession of bigger boats, lighted from stem to stern to anchor light.

7p – Pamlico Chorale at Oriental United Methodist Church A longtime Christmas tradition, the Chorale presents one concert on Friday and one again on Saturday. 404 Freemason
