Some scenes from Saturday’s Silospalooza at the Red Rooster. This 4th Annual had 8 bands, 9 + hours of music . 1 visiting rooster – and uncounted crowings. 6 pizza-eating contestants. And despite the forecast, no rain.Blue lights on the band, Hard Living, the last of 8 bands to play at the 4th annual Silospalooza.Red II stalked part of the grassy dance floor, occasionally crowing loudly.The duo, Taking Kindlies played the Red Rooster’s second – and newest stage – aka The Bantam.Dancing on the grass to Saltwater Gold.Caleb Forness, paratroooper and pizza contest winner. He says being the youngest of 5 provided training for eating quickly.The pizza eating contest drew spectators.The pizza eating contest would begin once the 6th contestant was seated.It was not a tat competition, though there were several among the pizza-eating contestants. Here, the arm of winner Caleb Forness.… and across the table.Midway through what would be a 3 minute 40 second contest.After making many a pizza in the past few years, Silos owner Chris Daniels competed for the first time and used a distinctive technique. Eating the pie’s center first left a ring or large “O” -perhaps a bit of marketing for his soon-to-open second restaurant, O-Town.Gut check.
