TownDock.net and the Pamlico News will be presenting a Candidates Forum on October 11 at Pamlico Community College’s Delamar Center.Candidates for several important contested seats — NC House District 3 and NC Senate District 2, and Pamlico County Commission Districts 2 and 5 — will be invited to take part in the evening forum.
The news organizations, in conjunction with Pamlico Community College, have scheduled the forum for a week before the early voting begins (October 18) in this fall’s elections. In that way, voters will have had an opportunity to see and hear their candidates respond to questions, before they cast their early ballots.
While the forum is more than 5 months away, the two news organizations and Pamlico Community College wanted to give candidates notice far in advance.
The Ned Delamar Center’s Auditorium can accommodate 600 people.
