Friday July 1

9:00a Vendors open their booths as soon as they are set up.
2:00p Croaker Festival Information Booth – look for the long croaker on high, at the corner of Freemason and South – opens with info and t-shirt sales.
3p-4:30p Drop off entries for Baking Contest (aft of Croaker Booth)

4p The official open of the 2016 Croaker Festival takes place, as much of the festival does, at Lou Mac Park. New for the opening this year – a cannon will be fired. The cannon will be on display at the pier in Lou Mac Park from 12:30p – 3:30p. It’s then moved across the harbor to Windmill Point location TBD. The canon will be fired between 4p and 4:10p. The cannon boom is followed by performances from The Pamlico Community Band & The Pamlico Chorale.

4:45p Baking Contest judges begin taste testing
6p Kids Park opens with games, including mini-golf
6p Pageants start. Miss Minnow first, followed by Croaker Queen Pageant
7p Announcement of winners of all contests
7p Zumba demonstration
7:30p Street Dance. Southern country, featuring Hard Livin’ .

Saturday July 2

8:30a At Lou Mac Park area, vendor booths open
9a Croaker Parade begins to line up along Ragan Road

10a The 2016 “Embrace Your Volunteer Spirit” Croaker Festival Parade

10a Oriental Dinghy Club Croaker Festival Regatta registration (Wildlife Ramp)
11a Heartworks Kid’s Carnival Opens on High Street (11a-5p)
11:45a The Kids Park opens

11:30a Skippers Meeting at Wildlife Ramp
Noon Parade Winners announced

9:30p Fireworks over the Harbor (depending on the weather). They are being set off this year from Windmill Pointe development a peninsula between Green & Kershaw creeks. Boats in the harbor and creeks should have a great view, as will the bridge and many locations in town.

Sunday July 3

8a Deadline for removal of all Vendor Booths and trash
10a Community Church Service at Lou Mac Park.
