Fog Over Oriental
One Misty Moisty Morning
October 7, 2008

Oriental woke up to fog Monday morning. While visibility wasn’t very great, what was visible had a light about it that made you stop and take it in.

Here’s some of town, suffused in that foggy light.

Two visiting boats at the town dock.
The wharf near Oriental’s town dock.
A stack of orange baskets provides the only color amid the grey mist of morning.
A gull swoops in. .
At the town dock, a dinghy and line from its sailboat.
The first rays of sunlight bounced off the Lou-Mac pier and in to the water below.
Fishing in the fog.
The old pier in front of Neuse River Suites. Visibility was about 4 old pier lengths.
The wall along South Avenue, with Whittaker Point in the background.
