aturday in Oriental was busy with the Boat Show. But just a few yards away at the Wildlife Ramp, a boat recovery took a wrong turn. TownDock.net Senior Management must admit we have almost achieved this maneuver in the past. No one was hurt, although a Jeep may have suffered some humiliation.

Rick Gracely was recovering his boat… and the Jeep parking brake didn’t quite perform up to desirable standards. Eric Kindle performed the recovery with a fire dept truck. Oriental Police Chief Dwaine Moore did not issue an illegal parking citation. Witnesses report the windshield wipers stayed on while the Jeep was in the water.
