PCC has arranged for four days of more detailed focus on the candidates – May 9-12 – at which each will be given a tour of the county and the campus, followed by a 2:30-3:30p ‘meet and greet’ with the staff, faculty and any member of the public who wishes to attend, in the Delamar auditorium.

As for any public input from those sessions, PCC Trustee Greg Piner, who chaired the Search Committee, says the Board is always, “open to hear compelling information, one way or the other.”

After a dinner with a member of the Board of Trustees, each candidate then will have 90 minutes set aside for a face-to-face interview. Those end on May 12.

The next day, Friday the 13th of May, the Board of Trustees is to submit 1-3 names to the State’s Community College Board in order to get further reference checks.

A week after that, the PCC Board “prioritizes candidates and begins negotiations” according to a press release, and by approximately May 25, the PCC Board is to announce its new President, subject to final approval of State Board
. That approval would be expected in June.
