one of them is named Trisha. “The Trishas,” are an Austin-based quartet and on Saturday night they sang and played at Oriental’s Old Theater in a concert presented by the Pamlico Musical Society.

Savannah Welch, Kelley Mickwee, Jamie Wilson and Liz Foster have been a band for a few years and Saturday night they drew from a range of Americana styles. They didn’t offer a clear explanation of why the call themselves “The Trishas” but what they did bring to the stage were sprightly harmonies, for both the covers and the songs they had written.

The Pamlico Musical Society’s 2011-2012 season continues in January with a performance by Kathy Kosins, the first in the three-part “All That Jazz” series that will also bring Nnenna Freelon and Stephanie Nakasian to the Old Theater this winter.
