hree colors now give a quick guide to finding Oriental’s public docks. The new Town Dock had caused some confusion for visiting boaters – it wasn’t always obvious which dock it was (sandwiched between Oriental Marina docks and Point Pride Seafood docks). Now it is.

Wednesday the docks got a simple coat of paint on the sides. Lisa Thompson (Harbor Waterfronts Committee member), Town Manager Diane Miller, and Commissioners David White and Allen Price provided the labor.

The yellow and blue indicates a dock OK for overnight use

The bulkhead on the side closest to Oriental Marina Inn. Yellow means OK for day docking. Red means emergency use only.
