Every year at the Oriental Boat Show, Down East boat builder Heber Guthrie starts and completes a boat. This year Heber is building a Core Sound Skimmer. The Skimmer is ideal for local creeks, just put a small outboard on the back and go. Heber starts Friday with a pile of juniper lumber and, except for sanding and painting, will have a finished skiif for you to win at 2:30 Sunday.
