Mark Weinheimer and LuAnn Parins fold the US flag that they take down from the flagpole every afternoon after leaving their sail loft next door to the fire station on Straight Road. Tuesday the fire station was the polling place for voters in the Oriental precinct. It was open until 8:30p primary night — an hour later than usual — because of a delayed start (which made the national news).
