A Hurricane Lily shows its color on this damp morning, found in the front yard of TownDock World Headquarters in downtown Oriental. Also sometimes called a Spider Lily, they are native to Asia (found in Japan, Korea, Vietnam, China – even Pakistan and Afghanistan). Along the way there were imported to North Carolina, where they now happily grow wild.
