The scene on the floor of the NC House before its 74-45 vote last night to override Governor Bev Perdue’s budget. The necessary majority in the NC Senate also voted to override shortly after. That makes the reworked budget the law, and with it, the one year reprieve for charging tolls on the Minnesott-Cherry Branch ferry. However, it appears that riders on the Aurora-Bayview ferry will have to pay, unless some late finessing takes hold.
