Rose Peterson, leading participants at a Tai Chi Day at LouMac Park in 2008. Rose taught the slow-movement martial art at her Dragon Gate Taijiquan in the area for about 15 years. She died Sunday after several years of battling cancer. Rose was 73. A June 16 celebration of her life is planned.(Photo: Diane Hardy)
