On Sunday mornings Oriental’s Dragon Boat Club practices in the creeks and takes a turn through the harbor as well. (Though not seen here,there’s usually a drummer at the bow, setting a pace and signalling their arrival.) Their practice should be intensifying with the 7th Annual Dragon Boat Festival coming August 12-13 at River Dunes. You can try your hand – and arm – at it, too.
