3rd Annual Dragon Burn - April 3

The 3rd Annual Dragon Burn, hosted by the Pamlico Arts Council, has been rescheduled due to windy weather. The Dragon Burn is now Saturday April 3.

What’s a Dragon Burn? A dragon effigy is constructed behind the Red Rooster Bar (located behind the Silos Restaurant). Viewers gather to eat, drink, and listen to music beginning at 5p. The dragon burns after sundown.

Attendance will be limited, following state guidelines for outdoor events.

  • This year guests will be the Dragon Drummers. Bring a wooden spoon and a pot or pan, and make noise as the Dragon burns.
  • Bring dollars. The lighting of the dragon will be auctioned off in a live auction that evening, starting at $100. Winning bid gets to light the fuse. Your ticket to the Dragon Burn is to become a member of Pamlico Arts. Memberships are $25 per individual, $50 for families.
