Fantastic Recycled Plastic @ ArtWorks - Sept 18

Environmental artist and author David Edgar “teaches the teachers” (and interested members of the public) Sept. 18, 10a-3p.

Edgar teaches “plastiquarium” sculpture, utilizing post-consumer recyclable plastics to create one of a kind art sculptures of fantastical sea life.

During this five hour class, participants will use recycled laundry detergent bottles and learn “the anatomy of a bottle”. They will learn basic engineering techniques for creating their own plastiquarium designs. Participants also explore environmental science in a useful way in the classroom and everyday life.

This class is open to the public – you do not need to be a teacher to attend. TEACHERS: This class has been approved for Continuing Ed Credits for all Pamlico County Schools. ArtWorks will assist any teacher outside PCS with filing necessary paperwork to have it approved in your district.
