Exercise equipment gathering dust? Athletic gear you forgot you had? You can put them to another use – donate them to be sold during the town wide yard sale on Saturday May 4. The proceeds will go to help maintain the Parkinson’s exercise programs that have been helping people living with Parkinson’s Disease in Pamlico County.

It’s based on the idea that exercise and movement are medicine. With that in mind, Rita Vorleiter and Jennifer Smart of the Park-n-Ride tandem biking and Rock Steady Boxing programs are seeking exercise-related items to sell at a fitness yard sale on May 4. Sports gear, athletic wear, gym equipment, yoga items, books on healthy living, bikes, kayaks, skiis, balls…things that help get you in motion. The Fitness Yard will be at 412 South Water Street.
