Fundraising Motorcycle Ride - Sept 18

The Neuse-Pamlico Sound Women’s Coalition Inc. sponsors a fundraising Motorcycle Ride in memory of Jamal Jones on Saturday, Sept. 18, beginning at Pamlico Community College’s campus, off N.C. 306 in Grantsboro.

Registration is $25 per bike, which includes lunch. The registration period begins at 9a at the PCC Delamar Center, with kickstands up at 10:30a.

Chicken and barbecue plates can be purchased on site for non-riders. Proceeds go to scholarships that the Neuse-Pamlico Sound Women’s Coalition Inc. awards annually.

Jamal A. Jones was the son of Women’s Coalition member Vickie Moseley-Jones and her husband, Gregory Jones. Jamal, a Pamlico County native and graduate of N.C. A&T State University in Greensboro, died earlier this year at age 37 after a long battle with sickle cell disease.

The Neuse-Pamlico Sound Women’s Coalition Inc. is a community service organization made up of influential female leaders who live in Pamlico, Carteret, Craven and Jones counties.
