Pamlico Musical Society presents Galvin Cello at The Old Theater, Sunday, March 17 @ 7:30p.

‘The Galvins’ are cellists Sihao He, Sydney Lee, Haddon Kay, and Luiz Fernando Venturelli. Hailing from China, Brazil, South Korea, and the United States, the talented instrumentalists and friends met at Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music.

The group jumped into the music scene in 2021 after earning a silver medal in the Fischoff Competition, and then winning the Victor Elmaleh Competition in 2022. have teamed up to provide exceptional music “exceeding the expectations of traditional chamber music” ever since.

“Their renditions as a group are glorious,” says Arnold Steinhardt, violinist of the Guarneri String Quartet.
