Attend an information / orientation session for prospective HeartWorks volunteers, Thursday, September 5 at 1p at HeartWorks, 709 Main Street in Bayboro.
Meet current volunteers, take a tour and learn about the program. Volunteers are needed to help in the classrooms as well as provide enrichment activities or individual tutoring once or twice a week.
Small groups of volunteers teach Chess, Bridge and Yoga and can use your help. Coach basketball or teach music. Equipment is available for all activities. A weekly commitment is NOT required.
Over 100 students, K – 8th Grade, attend the free HeartWorks Afterschool Program. Engaging activities like these make a positive difference in the academic, emotional and physical health of these Pamlico County kids.
