The Village Gallery welcomes August’s Artist of the Month, Judy Crane.

Judy Crane is an artist living and working in Raleigh. She works with oils, having transitioned from watercolors and pastels nearly two decades ago.

Crane finds inspiration in the light and shadows. She uses them to guide the viewer to the intimate spaces in her work, with the intent of evoking peacefulness in the viewer.

She has studied with prominent artists both in the US and abroad, and shares her knowledge teaching painting workshops.

Her work is held in both private and corporate collections including SAS Institute, IBM, Cisco Systems, Duke Hospital, UNC Hospital, Rex Hospital, Duke Energy, The State of North Carolina, Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital, and many banks, law firms, medical offices and homes.
