Sailor and author Bernie Harberts has started many of his voyages in Oriental, from a solo circumnavigation to a mule voyage across America.
Join Bernie Friday, May 26, 2017 7:30p as he previews and discusses the Lost Sea Expedition. The Lost Sea Expedition is a 4-part Public Television series about Bernie’s 14 month mule voyage across America. Traveling with a single mule and a solar powered wagon, Bernie set out to explore the Lost Sea, the ancient sea that covered the Great Plains millions of years ago. He discovered a story that ran much deeper. A Great Plains adventure story about water, Prairie people, stunning landscapes and the origins of our land.
Join Bernie to learn about life in a solar powered prairie schooner, how he filmed the entire film series without a film crew and the best ways to chase down a mule. The Old Theater, Friday, May 26, 7:30 – 8:30p (doors open 7p). $5 (helping cover Public TV costs). No life jacket required.
