Saturday, February 29 @ 5p, celebrate Mardi Gras at the Red Rooster with the PCHS Jazz Band Ensemble and the Goddesses of Oriental.

Enjoy live music, jambalaya, andouille sausage, s’mores, and hot dogs while dancing to New Orleans style jazz played by the Pamlico High School Jazz Band. The Goddesses of Oriental, a new group in town, are the event sponsors. This will also be their their debut performance. The party starts at 5p.

This is a fund raising event for the Pamlico County High School Band to help them get to the Worldstrides Heritage Music Festival in Williamsburg. The band, which has earned a superior rating five years running, needs $1,100 to help all 33 of their students make the trip. Any monies raised in excess of that amount go toward the purchase of new band uniforms in the coming school year.

Tickets are $20, including meal and music. $10 for kids. Tickets are available at The Silos Restaurant or the day of at the door.
