Memorial Day Observance Ceremony May 29, 2023Memorial Day weekend is about more than just a reason for a BBQ.
Monday is Memorial Day… and there is an Observance Ceremony Monday May 29, 2023 at 10a at the Pamlico County Courthouse in Bayboro.
The Ceremony:
• Welcome by Edward Riggs Jr. Chairman of Pamlico County Board of Commissioners
• National Anthem
• Invocation by James Sparrow Chaplain Disabled American Veterans (DAV)
• A reading of the World War I poem “Flanders Fields” by Bonnie Frazier NJROTC
• God Bless America by Janet Montero of The County Opry
• Live Taps by Chris Mele and friends
• 21 Gun Salute by Pamlico Veterans Honor Guard, by Oriental Dragon Detachment of the Marine Corps League, Pamlico County Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans and assisted by members of the PHS JNJROTC
We welcome guests at the event. Some chairs will be provided but you may want to bring your own.
