New Bern Bear Unveiling at Nautical Wheelers - May 3The Nautical Wheelers New Bern location is receiving a statue: a New Bern Bear.
The unveiling happens Friday, May 3 at 4p. The New Bern location hosts a Sip N Shop on Friday and will have snacks, raffles, and a selfie contest with the bear.
The New Bern Bears are fiberglass statues representing the mascot of the city: a bear. The statues are adopted by local businesses and painted by local artists. (This is NOT a picture of the Nautical Wheelers’ Bear.)
To celebrate, the Nautical Wheelers Oriental store will close at 3p on Friday so the staff can attend the unveiling in New Bern at 4p.
