The new exhibit Oriental’s Remarkable Women is now on display at Oriental’s History Museum.
This exhibit honors those women, now deceased, who contributed to organizations and important activities that made Oriental and the area a more vibrant place to live and visit. They spearheaded the development of lasting structures that contribute to the daily lives of area residents. Oriental and the County now have a history museum, health clinic, theater for musical and other productions, food bank, TownDock.net… and the list goes on. All this because these remarkable women, some natives of the county and some who moved here, saw a lack in services and did something about it.
Oriental’s History Museum is located at 802 Broad Street. Open Friday 11-3, Saturday 1-4. Admission is always free, donations gratefully accepted. For more information contact: OrientalHistoryMuseum@gmail.com.
