Pamlico Musical Society welcomes traditional Irish singer Seamus Egan, Nov 4 at The Old Theater at 7:30p.
Seamus Egan is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and bandleader.
By 14, Egan had already won multiple All-Ireland Championships for his creativity and musicality. From his beginnings as a teen prodigy, his solo work with Shanachie Records, and his founding of Irish-American powerhouse band Solas, to his current work as one of the leaders of the tradition, Egan explores the reaches of Irish tradition. He is a well-versed composer, having co-written Sarah MacLachlan’s breakout hit, “Weep Not for the Memories.”
