South African Braai and Wine Showcase: May 30 & 31Nautical Wheelers invites you to the Big South African Wine Event, Friday and Saturday, May 30 & 31. Both days are ticketed events.
Friday, May 30 from 4-7p: Enjoy a South African Braai (similar to a BBQ) and wine tasting with South African winemakers Bobby Wallace, Wynand Grobler, and Jasper Wickens.
Each winemaker presents three of their wines to taste (9 in total). Enjoy Boerwurst (farmer’s sausage), Bobotie (curried beef pie), Chakalaka (traditional relish), a tossed salad and Malva Pudding.
The wine tasting, dinner & dessert, two glasses of wine, and winemaker meet & greet is $50 per ticket.
Saturday, May 31, from 1 – 4p: The Wine Showcase includes hors d’oeuvres, live music, and three winemakers pouring five wines each. Learn about the wines, and how they were made. You also receive a $10 coupon towards the purchase of your first bottle of wine. Tickets for this event are $25 each.
