Temple B'nai Sholem Memorial Service Nov 1

Temple B’nai Sholem hosts a Memorial Service Thursday Nov 1 6:30p to honor the victims of the shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. From the Synagogue:

This special service will be held to honor the memories of the victims, stand together against all bigotry and pray for our Jewish brothers and sisters. The community is invited to stand up “against all forms of prejudice, hatred, and anti-Semitism.” The program will not only feature Jewish prayers, but Christian pastors will participate as well. This Memorial Service is open to the public and all faiths are welcome to attend. Please join us. Shalom.

An update – the service has been moved to allow more to attend.

The service Thursday, Nov 1 at 6:30p., will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 400 New St., New Bern (due to space limitations at our synagogue). This is right next door to the temple. We are expecting a larger attendance than we can comfortably accommodate at our building. Please plan to arrive at least a few minutes early so we can begin right at 6:30p. We also have been informed that New Bern Police Department will be providing security for the event.
