The Art of Shibori & Marbling @ ArtWorks - Sept 11Learn Shibori dyeing and marbling techniques for cloth @ ArtWorks, Sat. Sept 11, from 10a – 1p.
Resident Artist Julia McDonald again teaches the techniques of the ancient art of Shibori Dyeing. Fellow artist Carla Fisher joins her to introduce yet another technique for making unique wearables and gifts: marbling.
Twisting, tying, wrapping, and dipping; learn how to create designs through fabric manipulation.
Participants may choose silk scarves and/or cotton napkins to learn these techniques. The $25 registration fee permits two items to be dyed or marbled. Take home what you create.
