Letter: Thanks From Hope Clinic
Readers Come Through
July 22, 2014

Hope Clinic has some words of thanks.

To the Editor:

A huge thank you to TownDock & Readers!

Hope Clinic, the area’s free medical clinic, notified TownDock 3 weeks ago of their need for a full-size refrigerator to store medications in and 3 desktop computers. Within 48 hours, we were the proud owners of a brand new refrigerator (thanks to Dr. & Mrs. Steve Dumbauld), and just this week learned that a benefactor is arranging for our 3 desktop computers with the help of Doug Gaither.

Hope Clinic provides more than $2.5 million dollars in free medical care and medications to qualified, uninsured adults each year. Almost 99% of those necessary resources are donated through medication assistance programs, grants, and donations. Without TownDock and your readers, Hope Clinic would not be able to take care of our patients, the majority of whom struggle with chronic illnesses.

So, we’re sending out a huge thank you to everyone who makes our work possible, including our dedicated volunteers. If you, or someone you know is interested in volunteering, we have a variety of openings. Please contact Sheri Rettew, the director, at sheri@hopeclinicnc.org or by calling (252) 745-5760.

TownDock rocks!
