All Day – Nautical Wheelers Hot cider and samples from stonewall Kitchens & Pirate Candied Jalapenos; Butter Braids can be purchased from Silverhill Christian Church; Betty Brown calendar signing from 12:30 – 1:30p; Wine Tasting from 3:30 – 5p. 411 Broad St.

Pamlico County Heritage Center Booth at Nautical Wheelers. Will have grilled hot dogs, chips, and drinks available for purchase. Proceeds support the Heritage Center. 411 Broad St.

8-11a Brantley’s Village Restaurant Have breakfast with Santa and his elf. There will be snow and a bounce house. The Grinch may show up, too. 900 Broad St.

1p – Spirit of Christmas Parade – This year’s theme: ‘A Christmas Buffett – Jimmy Style.’ How many coconuts will there be? Count ‘em as the parade sets off from Ragan, down Broad, to Hodges, then Wall, South Avenue and on to Lou Mac Park.

1p-4p The Wichrowski family will be serving refreshments at 408 Broad Street.

2-4p Toucan/Tiki Bar Pauline Smith will be performing on the deck. 101 Wall St.

2-5p Village Gallery Performance by the Pamlico Flutes after the Parade; Special reception for artist Pappy Khouri; Refreshments served; gallery open all day. 300 Hodges St.

5-5:30p Caroling and Star Lighting Christmas caroling at the Town Dock on Hodges St. Santa directs the music and Mayor Belangia lights the Christmas star.

5-ish – Harbor – Lighted Kayak Parade A parade of wee boats, lighted up. Look to the WSW sky for the twinkling glows, close to the water, as the kayakers, canoeists, and paddleboarders enter the harbor after paddling over from the Wildlife Ramp circa 5p.

5-ish – Inner and Outer Harbor – Spirit of Christmas Flotilla UPDATE Bigger boats, lighted from stem to stern to anchor light will be at docks on Oriental’s inner harbor, but they won’t be parading. You can walk the docks at Oriental Marina to take in the view up close.

3p – Christmas Cantata Oriental First Baptist Church choir performs the Christmas Cantata. 605 Broad St.

3:30p – Live Nativity The Children’s Theater Workshop presents the 2017 production, complete with shepherds, wise men, angelic singing. Front lawn of Oriental United Methodist Church at Freemason and Church St. (The production has been moved inside because of the weather.)

5:30p – Harbor Sounds provides the music for dinner at Brantley’s banquet room. 900 Broad St.

8p Pamlico Chorale sings at Oriental United Methodist Church at Freemason and Church St.

Night fall Look for the luminaria lining Oriental’s main streets.
