12 – 4p Nautical Wheelers Wine Tasting, Holiday Cheers & Hors d’oeuvre. Broad St.

3-4p Pamlico Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) PAWS will be serving hot dogs, chips, and sodas in front of Oriental Village Veterinary Hospital. 407 Broad St.

3-4p Oriental Village Veterinary Dr Sherri Hicks & staff invite you to an Open House with refreshments by Word Of Mouth catering (Kathy Chandler) and free hot dogs.

All Friday Afternoon Marsha’s Cottage Hair lights by Gwen Rhodes. Add a little “sparkle” for
the Holidays. Enjoy refreshments while you wait. 204 Wall St.

4 – 5p First Citizens Bank Join Sally and staff serving up the “Best Refreshments Anywhere.”
Donations are welcome for Toys For Tots & Fishes & Loaves, 409 Broad Street.

5 – 5:30p Caroling & Star Lighting Gather at the Town Dock on Hodges Street for the lighting of the Christmas Star during the caroling led by members of the community and directed by Santa, himself.

5p Lighted Kayak Parade A flotilla of lighted kayaks, canoes, paddle-boards and any unmotorized dinghies. The paddlers will work their way toward the Town Dock leaving
from the Wildlife Ramp around 5 p.

5:30p – 7:30p The New Village Brewery hosts Hank, Pattie & The Current in the beer garden on Friday, Dec. 7 from 5:30-7:30p.

7p Pamlico Chorale The Pamlico Chorale performs at St Thomas Episcopal. 815 Second Street.

Night fall Look for the luminaria lining Oriental’s main streets.

8a until… Farmer’s Market The Farmer’s Market has expanded this year with extended
hours for the Spirit of Christmas. Local produce, freshly baked good, jams & jellies, fresh Christmas greenery, and fine arts & crafts. Harbor District on Hodges Street in front of Garland Fulcher Seafood.

Saturday all day – Nautical Wheelers Holiday Cheers & Hors d’ oeuvres, Wine Tasting – 3:30-5p

1p Spirit of Christmas Parade The parade begins at Broad Street (at Ragan Rd), turns left
on Hodges Street, continues along the waterfront and ends at Lou Mac Park.

8a to 11a Brantley’s Village Restaurant Breakfast With Santa and elf. Special appearance by The Grinch. 900 Broad Street.

10a – noon Marsha’s Cottage Open House. Saturday there a live radio remote from 10a – noon, and photos with Santa after the parade.

10a – noon Town Hall Porch Oriental Police Department will have hot chocolate, coffee and cider available. Come learn how to stay safe during the holidays.

12p – 4p Jem’s Handcrafted Creations Custom & Personalized stainless steel tumblers as well as a Hot Coco Station. 707 Broad Street .

All day Friday & Saturday Inland Waterway Provision Company 305 Hodges Street. All day Friday & Saturday a Nautical Trivia Sale – how much you save is based on how much you know.
On Saturday a spread of food, drinks and baked goodies from Amron’s Kitchen & Kip’s Kitchen. Samples of beer and sausage from Weeping Radish Brewery. And finally, the first Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest so come decked out to impress, or to dismay, and you could win some free booze!

Pamlico Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), 10 a.m. until Parade Conclusion
Join PAWS on the porch of Town Hall for some hot chili on the corner
of Church and Broad Streets.

After the parade, Indulgence & Beltone Hearing After the parade on Saturday visit for tacos for as long as they last and meet our staff at the Open House.

12noon until… Mariner Realty Stop by the office to watch the Spirit of Christmas Parade while enjoying refreshments and Christmas cheer with Angie and Allen Propst and the folks at Mariner Realty.

All Day – Village Gallery 300 Hodges Street. Come to the Village Gallery after the parade for a performance by the Pamlico Flutes at 1:30p.

3 – 5p River Neuse Suites Stop by for open house for refreshments and other treats while touring the hospitality room. 201 Mildred Street.

3:30p Oriental United Methodist Church The Children’s Theater Workshop will stage a Live Nativity on the lawn of the Oriental United Methodist Church at 404 Freemason Street. This annual tradition is performed by local children and directed by talented teens (Zariah Forbes & Liam McCarthy) who participate in the Summer Theater program.

5p Oriental First Baptist Church Perform the annual Christmas Cantata at the church at 605 Broad Street.

Evening Brantley’s Village Restaurant 900 Broad Street. Brantley’s Seafood Buffet and Holiday cheer and singing by Harbor Sounds.

8p St. Thomas Episcopal The Pamlico Chorale performs. 815 Second St.


Each year the merchants, churches, townspeople and civic groups unite to present Spirit Of Christmas as a way to say “thank you” for support during the year.

Join the town for holiday treats, entertainment and specials throughout town. See the Friday evening lighted kayak parade, the Saturday afternoon parade, live Nativity, Christmas Flotilla, the lighting of the Oriental Star… and discover the beauty of Oriental as luminaries light the streets at dusk after the parade.
