Over 200 paws hit the pavement for the pet parade
April 1, 2019

F
ifty-six dogs registered for the 2019 PAWS Pet Parade. They walked and rode, were pushed and even carried. Judges were bribed and fundraising goals were reached. PAWS, the Pamlico Animal Welfare Society, raises funds for their New Leash on Life program, sponsors a spay and neuter program, and more in Pamlico County.

The Pamlico Correctional Center, where the New Leash on Life program takes places, suffered fire damage and cannot currently continue the program. PAWS has several dogs who were destined for the program, but now need homes. Contact PAWS at 252-745-7297 for more.
